What model types does it support?+
The editor supports both Steve (4-pixel wide arms) and Alex (3-pixel slim arms) models. Toggle between them using the Steve/Alex button in the top toolbar. Both models work on Java and Bedrock Edition.
How do I use Mirror Mode?+
Click the "⟺ Mirror ON" button in the toolbar or press M on your keyboard. While active, any pixels you paint on one arm or leg are automatically mirrored to the opposite side.
Can I use this on mobile (phone or tablet)?+
Yes. MC Skin Editor runs in any modern browser including Safari on iOS and Chrome on Android. Use pinch-to-zoom on the 3D preview and tap to paint on the canvas.
Will I lose my work if I close the tab?+
No. The editor autosaves your skin to browser storage every 30 seconds. When you reopen the page, it will ask if you want to restore your last session.
What file format does it export?+
The editor exports a standard 64×64 PNG file — the exact format Minecraft requires. You can upload it directly to your Minecraft.net profile (Java) or import it in Bedrock settings.
How do I apply my skin in Minecraft?+
Java Edition: go to minecraft.net → Profile → Change Skin and upload the PNG. Bedrock Edition: go to Settings → Profile → Edit Character → Classic Skins → Import.
What is the Copy-Paste Parts feature?+
Right-click on any body part in the 3D preview to open a context menu. You can copy the texture from one part (e.g. right arm) and paste it to another (e.g. left arm), saving time on symmetric designs.
